PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel for fishing having a leg part capable of being readily and stably gripped and held in a state thereof sandwiched together with a fishing rod without a load over a long period and having excellent fittedness. SOLUTION: This reel for fishing comprises the leg part 10 with a rod mounting part 12 freely demountable from a fishing rod and appearance shape of the leg part 10 in the longitudinal direction is formed in an asymmetric state. The leg part 10 forms an asymmetric shape in which the front side relatively to the center X of the leg part 10, i.e., the rod tip side S1 is bulged.
