PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the handling before and after use of an excreta disposal agent for a pet and make the final disposal safe. SOLUTION: This excreta disposal agent for the pet is obtained by mainly using a cotton linter residue discharged from a production process for cuprammonium rayon as a principal material for the excreta disposal agent for the pet. Starches and bentonite are used as an accessory material. The mixing ratio is 1-20 pts.wt. of the starches and 1-20 pts.wt. of the bentonite based on 100 pts.wt. of the principal material and the sum total of the accessory material is <=25 pts.wt. Wood flour or edge dust may be mixed with the principal material. Zeolite can be added to the auxiliary material. Starch andα-starch are used as the starches. The resultant excreta disposal agent is wholly composed of natural materials, has a light weight and abundant water absorbency and is readily handleable, environmentally friendly and safe even for disposal after use.
