PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporative distillation type desalting apparatus supplying a clean heating medium to its heat accumulator at a proper interval. SOLUTION: The evaporative distillation type desalting apparatus is equipped with an evaporative concentrator 3 for heating and distilling raw water containing salts or impurities to obtain fresh water and concentrated water and a heat accumulator (waste heat boiler 1 or the like) using water as a heating medium and constituted so as to heat raw water of the evaporative concentrator 3 by the heating medium from the heat accumulator. A replenishing means (a fresh water drain pump 7, a heating medium replenishing valve 9) for replenishing the heat accumulation system (a heating medium route 5) of the heat accumulator with the fresh water distilled in the evaporative concentrator 3 and stored in the fresh water tank 6 of the apparatus is provided.
