<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head which is relatively light in weight even if the volume of the golf club head and the area of a face section are made greater, can be made thinner in the thickness of the face section and consequently increases the distance of a ball, maintains the good directional stability of the ball and is durable as well. SOLUTION: The club head for golf has a head body consisting of a hollow metallic outer shell structure. The heady body exclusive of the face section 1 is cast of a 6-4 titanium alloy and the face section 1 is formed by using an Fe alloy containing 0.23 wt.% C, 3.10 wt.% Cr, l1.10 wt.% Ni, 1.20 wt.% Mo and 13.40 wt.% Co. The thickness of the face section 1 is specified to 1.9 mm and the face section 1 is joined by silver solder to the titanium alloy head body.</p> |
