PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal tube manufacturing device capable of preventing any edge buckling before welding when forming a thin-walled welded tube, and performing consistent tube manufacturing and welding at a high speed. SOLUTION: In this metal tube manufacturing device having a plurality of stages of grooved rolls disposed in the right-to-left direction which successively rolls a flat plate into a cylindrical shape, a part of or the whole of grooved roll supporting parts are disposed in a checkered manner in the tube- manufacturing direction. The spacing of the grooved rolls disposed in a checkered manner is preferably more than one time and not more than two times the outside diameter of the grooved rolls.
