PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently remove dioxins contained in wastewater and to enable to reduce an amount of chemicals necessary for the treatment. SOLUTION: Wastewater 10 containing dioxins is pretreated in a pretreatment tank 12 and supplied to a flocculation tank 14 to be subjected to flocculation treatment. Subsequently, the treated wastewater is separated into treated water 22 and sludge 23 by a solid-liquid separation means 20 and the separated sludge 23 is guided to a Fenton oxidizing tank 28 and subjected to Fenton treatment by adding hydrogen peroxide 30 to the sludge 23 in the presence of iron ions to oxidize and decompose dioxins in the sludge 23.
