PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high throughput method for identifying a drug candidate which produces reactive metabolites that contribute to toxicity of drug products. SOLUTION: The method for identifying a drug candidate which produces reactive metabolites comprises (a) incubating the drug candidate with a microsomal enzyme system metabolizing drugs in the presence of glutathione and (b) detecting a glutathione conjugate formed in the step (a).
