PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin and compact filter easy to assemble and to maintain. SOLUTION: The filter is constituted so that a housing, wherein a plurality of water channel water supply ports each equipped with a valve plug and a valve seat are arranged side by side in one row so as to cross the axis of a tap water supply port or a raw water discharge port at a right angle, a spring for energizing the valve plug in the water channel water supply port on the same axis as the water channel water supply port and a rotary valve stem, which is equipped with a plurality of cams for pushing up the valve plug in connection with the revolution of a changeover lever to open and close the water channel water supply port, are provided to a changeover switch. The valve plug of the changeover switch is operated before and behind with respect to the flow of water flowing in from the tap water supply port to open and close the water channel water supply port to selectively change over a plurality of water passages.
