PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a breathing assistance apparatus which conveys gases to a patient requiring breathing assistance, and a pressure adjuster used for it. SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a valve member installed inside a valve housing, and when the gas flowing through the pressure adjuster at least partially reaches a prescribed level, the valve member makes the gas flow from a passage port to the outside similarly to a known pressure safety valve. The apparatus is provided with an adjustment mechanism engaged with the valve member for performing adjustment to the prescribed level and a locking mechanism for permanently preventing access to the adjustment mechanism for which the prescribed level is fact-reset. |
