PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slug-rising preventive die that is effective for suppressing slug-rising regardless of the thickness of a workpiece and that is inexpensive as well as high in productivity. SOLUTION: In the slug-rising preventive die for preventing the slugs 7' from rising that are punched out by a piercing punch 9, a cutting-part hole 12 for engaging with the piercing punch 9 is formed on the die body 11, and a slug-discharging hole 13 having the diameter larger than that of the cutting- part hole 12 is also formed in succession to the end on the exit side of the cutting-part hole 12 and at a position shifted from it, and provided with a projection 16 extending inward from the end on the exit side.
