In use, a rope or cable is passed through hole 11 and between the troughs 14 of Fig. 4c and the ends 16, 17 are compressed together by pliers, Fig. 4d, to grip the rope or cable. As applied to a grip for an electric cable 21, Fig. 3, the cable-grip 15 is located in the lead-in portion 27 of a terminal box 21. The hole 11 may be so shaped as to accommodate the profile of the rope or cable. |
