<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head which has the centroid existing on a tow side and permits the efficient production of golf club heads having high dimensional accuracy at a high yield. SOLUTION: The golf club head 1 is formed by welding a face section 3 and crown section 4 to a head base body 2. The head base body 2 is integrally cast with a flank section 5 on a heel side, back section 6, flank section 7 on a tow side, base surface section 8 and hosel section 9 by a lost wax method, etc. This head base body 2 is a hollow shell shape whose top surface and front are open. The hosel section 9 protrudes upward from the upper part of the head base body 2 and extends in the head base body 2 until the hosel section reaches the base surface section 8. A clearance V is opened between the hosel section 9 and the flank section 5 on the heel side. The face section 3 and the crown section 4 consists of thin sheet materials formed by press forging.</p> |
