PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight and easy greening/greened structure suitably enforceable for e.g. the rooftop or the roof of a building, a veranda through using artificial soil having as the main body a waste polyurethane natural foamed product. SOLUTION: This greening/greened structure 10 using artificial soil is characterized by comprising laying down a water holding sheet 20 having at the bottom concave-convex water holding parts 21, setting up on the water holding sheet 20 one or several layers of an artificial soil mat 30 compressedly formed so as to bring the specific gravity to 0.1 or 0.15 of a mixture of the crushed material with a rough diameter of <=5 mm of a waste polyurethane natural foamed product, chaff and rice bran through using an isocyanate-based binder, and vegetating grasses on the top of the artificial soil mat 30.
