PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toy for infants having a touch of unexpectedness. SOLUTION: A toy for infants has a frame, a plurality of light shielding plates shaped into a square and provided side by side in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and prohibiting transmission of light from at least one side, and a rotation means rotating the plurality of light shielding plates, and the plurality of light shielding plates are arranged in the frame so that they may freely rotate around a shaft parallel with the longitudinal direction and a first position which one cannot get a view of a scene in the background from at least one side and a second position which one can get a view of a scene in the background, and switch from the first position to the second position and vice versa by the rotation means.
