<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air cleaner capable of continuously displaying an outstanding air cleaning function over a long period of time. SOLUTION: The air cleaner 10 is operated to remove an unnecessary substance contained in air by allowing passage of the air. The air cleaner 10 comprises a dust-removing filter 30 for removing particles of a comparatively larger size out of the unnecessary substance, a humidity controlling/cleaning member 20 of a honeycomb structure, with numerous air through passages 22 juxtaposed through partitions 22, which is arranged downstream from the dust-removing filter 30 and formed of moldings composed mainly of an inorganic humidity controlling material and further, a high-performance filter 40 which is arranged downstream from the member 20 and removes the unnecessary substance which remains unremoved by the member 20.</p> |
