PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust remover for enhancing the dust removal efficiency of an electrostatic precipitator and to provide the dust remover which is capable of improving the dust removal efficiency of an existing electrostatic precipitator with relatively inexpensive initial investment and running cost. SOLUTION: A punching metal 3 is mounted behind a dust collection electrode 11. More adequately, a hammering device 37 used for knocking off the dust sticking to the punching metal 3 is further included. Further, the punching metal 3 is disposed in a reducer section 19 of the electrostatic precipitator 1. More preferably the opening rate of the punching metal 3 is specified to 20 to 60%. The opening diameter of the punching metal 3 is specified to 2 to 10 mm. The punching metal 3 is preferably composed of metal having heater resistance. The punching metal 3 is preferably composed of metal having corrosion resistance.
