PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cover device for a bathtub which can be housed without leaning to a washing place side in bathing, allows the wide use of a space for the effective utilization in a bathroom, is extremely simple in housing and taking out of a cover plate and is user friendly. SOLUTION: The cover device of the bathtub is constituted by approximately bisecting the cover plate having a size to make the aperture of the bathtub closable, pivotally supporting the cover plate so as to be made foldable at the middle and housing the cover plate folded at the middle and superposed flush into the cover housing recessed part formed in the wall surface of the bathroom in contact with the top end flange of the bathtub.
