PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating and warming device for selling Japanese hotchpotch with which the state of the inside of a container can surely be looked even in the state of placing a lid on the container. SOLUTION: Steam is generated from foods to be cooked with heating of the food within a pot 1. However, air is discharged to a space 32 within a food cover 21 from a blowing guide 31 and drops are not easily stuck to the cover 21. Consequently, even in the state of placing the cover 21 on the pot 1, the state of the inside of the pot 1 can be confirmed through the transparent cover 21. Furthermore, the pot 1 is kept sanitary since insects, etc., never enter the pot 1 wrongly by covering the pot 1 with the cover 21.
