PURPOSE: A sleeve for protecting a pipe and a method for installing the sleeve are provided to improve the waterproof characteristic of the pipe by enlarging a contact area between the pipe and an inner portion of the sleeve. CONSTITUTION: A sleeve body(10) formed at one side thereof with a coupling part(11) is installed at a predetermined portion of a building wall. Then, a pipe is inserted into the sleeve body(10). After that, a sealing ring(40) and a pressing ring(30), and a fastening ring(20) are sequentially inserted into the pipe. Then, the fastening ring(20) is screw-coupled to the coupling part(11) of the sleeve body(10). After coupling the fastening ring(20) to the coupling part(11) of the sleeve body(10), the fastening ring(20) is fastened until the sealing ring(40) securely grips the pipe.
