ELECTRIC ARC WELDING METHOD

electric arc welding processes, possibly manufacture of butt welded parts at through fusion. SUBSTANCE: method may be used for making butt welded parts with thickness more than 10 mm. Method comprises steps of placing tape with activating flux in the form of three-layer pack onto surface of edges of welded parts and performing gas-shield welding; placing flux layer between layers of tape; making tape layers of material neutral relative to welded material. Tape layers may be made of fiber glass fabric. Tape layer adjoining to welded edges has flat cross section; edges of upper layer are folded along its lengthwise axis by angle 5-45 degrees.
