PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correspond to various vehicle stopping poles at low cost and to provide a favourable muffling effect against a muffling member for the vehicle stopping pole arranged in a pole main body on the vehicle stopping pole provided with a metallic chain free to store in the inside of the cylindrical metallic pole main body and to remove from the pole main body. SOLUTION: An outside surface of one side wall 2c makes roughly linearly contact with an inner peripheral surface of a pole main body 5 in a state where slits 2b, 2b,... are formed from the outside surface of the one side wall 2c on the one side wall 2c and a hollow line wall 2d of a plate material 2 in such a way as to cross each of hollow lines 2a on the flexible non-metallic plate material 2 on which a large number of the hollow lines 2a, 2a,... are juxtaposed. Thereafter, a muffling member 1 is manufactured by bending the plate material 2 so that each of the slits 2b extends in the axis C direction of the pole main body 5. |
