PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To temporarily change the tone color assigned to a joint with a simple operation in a musical sound controller which instructs to generate musical sound based on the motion of the joint. SOLUTION: A transformation mode switch 117 is provided as a mode instructing means which instructs for a first mode (a normal performance mode) or a second mode (a transformation mode). In the first mode, a musical sound is generated with the tone color which is beforehand assigned to a grip switch 118 in accordance with the operation of the switch 118 and a musical sound is generated with the tone color which is beforehand assigned to the joint in accordance with the motion of the joint. In the second mode, the tone color assigned to the operated grip switch 118 is temporarily assigned to the joint in accordance with the operation of the switch 118 and a musical sound is generated with the tone color which is temporarily assigned to the joint in accordance with the motion of the joint. |
