PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep flatness and tension constant under an optimal working condition without giving an elastic deformation to a thin sheet and moreover without generating strain. SOLUTION: This holding device is provided with clamping mechanisms 30A, 30B respectively clamping both end parts of the sheet 10 with the load of a compressing spring 36 via rubber plates 34, the tension providing mechanism 40 pulling one side of the clamping mechanism in the direction widening the sheet with an air cylinder 42, and the supporting mechanism 50 including the lower part support 52 for supporting the working part of the widened sheet from the lower side. |
