PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of a color drift on color image by setting the number of revolutions so that the value of the ratio between the revolving speed per unit time of an image forming element applying the external force to the surface of an image carrier and the image carrier is made an integer. CONSTITUTION:Number of revolutions per unit time are set so that the value of the ratio between the number of revolutions per unit time of at least one (both in this case) of image forming elements, i.e., cleaning brush 36 and electrifying roller 22, and the number of revolutions per unit time of a photoreceptor 20 is made an integer. When the photoreceptor 20 is rotated once, the electrifying roller 22 and cleaning brush 36 are rotated integer times. If the photoreceptor 20 and cleaning brush 36 are brought into contact at a prescribed position at a certain time, then the cleaning brush 36 and photoreceptor 20 are rotated respectively, and the photoreceptor 20 and cleaning brush 36 are again brought into contact at the first prescribed position. |
