<p>The method includes the steps of relatively orienting the two radar units (1,2) for disposing their principal detection axes (11,12) respectively in a non-colinear manner, and measuring the distance from the object (5) w.r.t each of these two units, and measuring the values of the radial components (V1,V2) of the speed (V) of the object respectively w.r.t the two radar units, and finally calculating the components of the speed of the object, along an axis (X,Y) oriented towards the vehicle from the distance values, the radial components, and the distance determined between the radars.</p> |
