PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reader/writer capable of properly using and substantially simultaneously using contact type communication executed via a contact terminal and noncontact type communication executed via an antenna in one reader/ writer. SOLUTION: The reader/writer for an electronic information recording medium has a medium holding means, a contact communication means, and a noncontact communication means. The medium holding means holds the electronic information recording medium in a position for reading and writing information. The contact communication means executes communication processing on the held electronic information recoding medium via the contact terminal. The noncontact communication means executes the communication processing on the held electronic information recording medium via the antenna. |
