IRREGULAR ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC TONER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner by surface modification which has the mechanical strength and anti-sticking property necessary for an electrophotographic toner and also having low temperature fixing property of the main particles. SOLUTION: The toner consists of irregular resin particles produced by partially forming a plurality of polymers by polymerization on the surfaces of main particles containing a coloring agent, with the polymers having different softening points from the softening point of the main particles. The temperature complex viscoelasticity modulus curves of the main particles and of the irregular resin particles overlap at least in a part. The straight lines which envelop the profile line of the plurality of polymers do not cross the periphery of the main particle.
