摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing adjusting device that is easily machined and can control relative turning with fluid pressure even at the most retardation position and the most spark advance position. SOLUTION: Vanes 15a, 15b, 15c, and 15d of a vane rotor 15 are rotatably stored in respective storing chambers 50. A seal member 18 engages with the outer peripheral wall of each vane and the outer peripheral wall of a boss part 15e, and is pressed to a peripheral wall 13 and the inner peripheral wall of each shoe. The inner surface of a front plate 14 is provided with oil passages 65, 66, 67, and 68 communicated with spark advance hydraulic chambers 55, 56, 57, and 58 in that order. The oil passages 66, 67, and 68 have a first oil passage and a second oil passage. Each first oil passage separates from an adjacent shoe and radially straddles the outer peripheral surface 15f of the boss part 15e. The second oil passages project in the rotation direction from the first oil passages positioned radially outside than the outer peripheral surface 15f of the boss part 15e toward respective adjacent shoes.
