PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the weft-insertion and prevent the lowering of the quality of woven fabric by suppressing the pulsation of the pressure of water jet a weft-insertion pump 1 of a water-jet loom. SOLUTION: A plunger 17 is displaced against the elastic forces of springs 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, and 34 in the suction stroke of the plunger 17 to store the energy in the springs 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, and 34, the ejection stroke of the plunger 17 is carried out by the energy stored in the springs 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, and 34 and the water jet is supplied to the weft-insertion nozzle 2. In this weft-insertion pump 1 of a water- jet loom having the above action, the springs 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, and 34 are composed as plural springs having different characteristic frequencies to suppress the pulsation of the pressure of the water jet by suppressing the resonance of the oscillation of the springs 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, and 34 with the pressure variation of the water jet and the vibration of the pump driving system.
