PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lightweight and compact clutch release bearing device that allows the improvement of flexibility in design. SOLUTION: A spring member 30 is disposed to hug an outer ring 12 and a guide sleeve 20, so that the outer ring 12 can be held properly with respect to the guide sleeve 20 even if the outer ring 12 does not have a flange-like support such as used in a prior art. The outer ring 12 is formed of a pressed plate and has a cylindrical end 12a about the guide sleeve 20, so that its axial length is shortened by a length corresponding to the thickness of the omitted flange-like support. Consequently, the bearing device is lightweight, compact and mountable in a vehicle.
