VALVE CLEARANCE ADJUSTING MECHANISM OF VALVE SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent loosing of a lock nut caused by hitting of the other member. SOLUTION: In adjusting a valve clearance, a pivot 21 is screwed to change height of a rocking fulcrum 11A of a rocker arm 11. After the adjustment, rotation of the pivot 21 is regulated by an axial pressing force by a screw member 29 for lock. The screw member 29 is stored in a female screw hole 22, so that the other member does not hit on the screw member 29, and loosing of the screw member 29 caused by hitting of the other member can be prevented.
