PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform encoding or the like so that a recording time and sound quality of an audio signal may vary at a recording person side, and recording can be performed in an almost fixed recording time. SOLUTION: Digital audio signals which are sampled by the different sampling frequency for each multi-channel of each audio title set(ATS) and are quantized by different quantization bit numbers are encoded and recorded in an audio pack. Moreover, for example, 2 channels of stereo signals reproduced by a CD player are assigned to AST#0, and 3 channels of front signals are assigned to AST#1, and 2 channels of rear signals and 1 channel of LFE signals are assigned to AST#2 among 6 channels reproduced by a DVD audio disk. The sampling frequency and quantization bit numbers of stereo 2 channels of each ATS are recorded on an ATS attribute table, the sampling frequency and quantization bit numbers of each AST are recorded on an ATS-AST- attribute table, and decoding is carried out based on these pieces of information. |
