PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical recording medium which is relatively easy to manufacture and can provide a reproduced signal of high quality in a write- once area. SOLUTION: This optical recording medium has a substrate 103 having a ROM area B and a RAM area A, a dyestuff layer 102, and a reflecting layer 101 and the wavelength λ of reproduction light, the optical phase difference ΔSp of the ROM area B, and the optical phase difference ΔSg of the RAM area A are so set that 2.5λ/16<ΔSp<λ/4, 0<=n2(d1-d2)<=λ/8, 2.5λ/16<n1.d1<6λ/16, 0.5λ/16<ΔSg<λ/8, and 3.5λ/16<n1.d3<3.5λ/8, are satisfied. |
