POLYCARBONATE RESIN COMPOSITION, OPTICAL RECORDING MEDIUM AND SUBSTRATE THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polycarbonate resin excellent in thermal stability and a mold release property when subjected to melt molding to provide an optical recording medium and the substrate. SOLUTION: The aromatic polycarbonate resin composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of an aromatic polycarbonate (A) obtained by reacting an aromatic dihydroxy compound with a carbonate diester in the presence of at least one transesterification catalyst selected from the group consisting of alkali metal compounds and alkaline earth metal compounds and 5×10-4 to 0.5 pt.wt. of an ester compound (B) having an ester bond from an aliphatic carboxylic acid and a polyhydric alcohol, at least one aliphatic carboxylic acid being a branched aliphatic carboxylic acid. The optical recording medium substrate is obtained by molding the resin.
