PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lost article housing informing system for controlling belongings such as a card of a user, and capable of precisely informing a belongings control center such as a card company of the fact when user loses the belongings. SOLUTION: Card information on the user is stored and controlled in a belongings information database 21 together with user information in response to respective users. When the user loses the card, the user retrieves the card information corresponding to this lost article from the belongings information database 21, acquires information on the card company from the card information, informs this card company of the lost article, and receives use stoppage completion information transmitted from the card company as a result that the card company executes use stoppage treatment for the lost article. The card company informs a user terminal 3 of the result.
