PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for integrating dispersed diagnosis and maintenance information and managing the same, and quickly retrieving for the integrated information at need. SOLUTION: In this retrieval program, components of an automobile are classified into large groups, medium groups and small groups to construct a hierarchical retrieval structure. The respective items contained in a service manual database, a trouble shooting database and a parts database, the items related to the large groups, medium groups and small groups, and further the items of low order are linked with each other. A user selects one of at least condition of the automobile and a menu containing a system component to thereby refer to the item related to maintenance to be executed contained in the service manual database, the trouble shooting database, and the parts database hierarchically and crossingly. |
