<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coordinate input device which makes vertical input secure and facilitates assembly by decreasing the number of its components. SOLUTION: A fixed electrode 8 has a couple of mutually insulated contact parts 9a and 9b at its center part, a metal contact 6 which is deformable elastically is formed in dome shape above the contact parts 9a and 9b, and an actuator 5 which presses the metal contact 6 is engaged slidably with a slider 1 and an elastic member 4 at right angle to a circuit board 7. A gap G varies with the elastic deformation of the elastic member 4 caused by moving the slider 1 in parallel to the circuit board 7 so that the electrostatic capacitance between the fixed electrode 8 and a movable electrode 4e varies. The metal contact 6 is deformed elastically by the actuator 5 pressed at the right angle to the circuit board 7 and the contact parts 9a and 9b are connected electrically through the metal contact 6 and the contact is switched over.</p> |
