PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform positioning of a high speed and accurate magnetic head without decreasing performance of a device by updating an initial set value during following operation. SOLUTION: Amplitude information and phase information are estimated from an output of a synchronous component compensator 4, and an initial value is to be set based on the estimated value. Further, by updating the initial set value when the synchronous component compensator operates, it eliminates the need for branching operation into special learning routine, and the data can be read/written without lowering throughput.
