PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent illicit copying without using a special table or the like relating optical information recording medium having a reproduction-only region reproducible with a CD-ROM or the like. SOLUTION: The data of software or the like is recoded by each of packets (fixed packets) of a specific size to the optical information recording medium and whether the reproduced data is copied or not is inspected. If the data is copied, the reading of the data is prohibited. Whether the data is copied or not is discriminated by, as an example, deciding that the data is copied if there is a link. Unlike an ordinary CD-ROM, the information is recorded by each of the packets and therefore the copying with a general CD-R/RW writer is made difficult and for of the copied optical information recording medium, the reading of the data is prohibited, by which illicit copying is prevented. |
