PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection pump governor lever operating device for a construction machine having small depression force of a decelerator pedal, its excellent operability, and having excellent operability of a fuel operating lever. SOLUTION: When a governor lever 12 is energized in the high idle rotation direction by a spring energizing mechanism 20 and a manual operating lever 3 with a friction clutch is operated to the high idle rotation side and when the decelerator pedal 30 is operated to the high idle rotation side, each of push- pull cables 14 and 33 connected to the governor lever 12 is idled and the governor lever 12 is shifted in the high idle rotation direction by the spring energizing mechanism 20. When the manual operating lever 3 is operated to the low idle rotation side and the decelerator pedal 30 is operated to the low idle rotation side, the governor lever 12 is shifted in the low idle rotation direction against the spring energizing mechanism 20.
