CHIMNEY DEMOLITION METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost for demolishing a chimney by separately disposing a contaminated part of the inner surface of the chimney and a non-contaminated part of the skeleton part of the chimney to decrease the amount of generated harmful industrial wastes. SOLUTION: A device main body part 1 to be inserted in the chimney to be demolished is provided with device main body part fixing means 2a, 2b pressed to the inner surface of the chimney to fix the device main body part 1 in an arbitrary position in the chimney A, a support shaft 13 supported toward the shaft center direction of the chimney and operated to rotate and axially reciprocated by a driving means and a crushing means 22 for crushing the inner surface of the chimney. The device main body part 1 is fixed inside the chimney A by the device main body part fixing means 2a, 2b, and the crushing means is driven with the support shaft rotated, thereby removing a harmful material contaminated thick part of the inner surface of the chimney without breaking the chimney skeleton.
