PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ink composition useful for an ink-jet recording method having high-speed, high-reliability printing qualities and a low running cost, and to provide a recording method. SOLUTION: In the ink-jet printer with which plain paper having <=80 s Bekk smoothness and pH <=6.5 on both sides is printed at >=10 ips recording speed, the ink composition to be used comprises at least a pigment, water and a urethane resin emulsion and has <=15 ΔE color difference caused by the influence of rear face. Preferably, the ink composition comprises 10-60 wt.% of the urethane resin emulsion having >=30% solid content and the solid content of the urethane resin emulsion comprises 0-90 wt.% of an acrylic resin. |
