PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner supply roller which is entirely soft, has a smooth surface, satisfactorily carries toner and scrapes unnecessary toner, and is capable of repeatedly forming a uniform toner layer on a developing roller, and to provide an image forming device using the toner supply roller. SOLUTION: The toner supply roller 1 includes a metal shaft 2 and a urethane foam layer 3 integrally formed on a periphery of the metal shaft 2. A film 4 is formed on the urethane foam layer 3. Frictional force F against paper when the roller is unrotationally moved on fixed paper at a speed of 1 cm/sec with a weight of 0.98 N exerted at each end of the paper is expressed by the following equation, F=P/L (N/cm). Roller hardness is 0.10 to 0.25 N/cm. And the roller hardness obtained in such a manner that stress when an amount of press is 1 mm is divided by an axial pressing length is 0.2 to 0.7 N/cm. |
