PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively clean a 2nd image carrier in an image forming device where fixation is performed in a state where the 2nd image carrier and recording paper are superposed. SOLUTION: This image forming device is provided with a 1st cooling means 16 near the upstream side of a cleaning device 25 and a 2nd cooling means 17 on the downstream side of the device 25 in the turning direction (counterclockwise in figure) of an intermediate transfer belt 10. By cooling the belt 10 to some extent by the 1st cooling means 16, the temperature of residual toner melted at the time of fixation is lowered, and the residual toner is easily transferred to a cleaning roller 25a. |
