PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface acoustic wave device of which the frequency is easily and highly accurately adjusted without adversely affected by any bonding wire. SOLUTION: In this surface acoustic wave device, a surface acoustic element 3 is housed in a package main body 2, and the surface acoustic wave element 3 is electrically connected through bonding wires 21-26 to electrode lands 15-17 and 18-20 of the package 2, and the bonding wires 21-26 are arranged so that they can be prevented from striding over IDT 5, 6, 9, and 10 or reflectors 7, 8, 11, and 12.
