PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyketone fiber by which a high-strength and high-modulus drawn yarn or twisted yarn of a polyketone can be produced by using a comparatively compact drawing installation without using a long drawing machine in good productivity while hardly causing yarn break or fluff. SOLUTION: In this method for producing the polyketone fiber by spinning the polyketone having repeating units comprising >=90 mol% unit and represented by the formula (1), optionally drying the resultant yarn, and drawing the obtained yarn the obtained yarn is drawn at 3-12 draw ratio, and wound once, and the wound yarn is subjected to the drawing at 1.01-10 draw ratio at the speed lower than that at the above drawing time. The twisting may be carried out after the subsequent drawing or at the same time as the drawing. |
