摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester thick-and-thin multifilament yarn capable of providing deeply dyed parts and lightly dyed parts in a random cycle after being dyed by a cationic dye, and capable of providing a large contrast between the deeply dyed parts and the lightly dyed parts. SOLUTION: This polyester thick-and-thin multifilament yarn comprises plural single filaments composed of a cationic dyeable polyester, and having thick-and-thin unevenness in the filament axis direction, and satisfies the following requirements: (1) having parts composed of the single filaments constituting the yarn in which >=70% of the number of the single filaments are at the thick parts, and parts composed of the single filaments in which >=95% of the number of the single filaments are at the thin parts, in the length direction of the yarn; (2) having >=15% coefficient of variation CV of the unevenness of the thicknesses of the yarn; (3) having <=85 mm length of the thick part; (4) including 35-80% parts with >=24 mm lengths of the thick parts of the yarn based on the whole thick part lengths; and (5) having >=2.0 ratio of filament diameters of the most thick part to the most thin part of the single filament.
