METHOD FOR PRODUCING POWDER AGGLOMERATE USING WASTE PLASTICS AS BINDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing powder agglomerates using waste plastics as a binder for effectively recovering various valuable powders generated from an iron making process or various valuable powders generated from an alminum refining process. SOLUTION: A mixture containing powders of 80 to 97 mass% and thermoplastic waste plastics of 3 to 20 mass% is dried and heated to 100 to 110 deg.C while kneading the mixture. Successively, the thermoplastic waste plastics are dispersed into the powders, and kneading and heating are performed to a softening temperature by a heating apparatus. Next, press molding is performed under a linear load of 2 to 5 t/cm, so that the powder agglomerates of high quality are obtained.
