SURFACE-COVERED CALCIUM CARBONATE PARTICLE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND ADHESIVE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calcium carbonate particle capable of being easily dispersed in a resin component constituting an adhesive or other components, and capable of imparting excellent adhesion and viscosity stability to an adhesive composition after the formulation. SOLUTION: This calcium carbonate particle has the surface covered with (1) a fatty acid mixture regulated so that the mixing ratio (weight ratio) of (1A) a saturated fatty acid and a salt thereof to (1B) an unsaturated fatty acid and a salt thereof may be (30-70):(70-30), and further covered with (2) an organic compound such as a phthalic ester. The covering amounts of the fatty acid mixture and the organic compound are about 1-3 mg and about 0.1-1 mg per m2 BET specific surface area of the covered calcium carbonate particle, respectively.
