PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile radio unit that enhances a call rate and reduces the power consumption. SOLUTION: An antenna 12 and a reception section 14 on the mobile radio unit 10 receive channels and a call signal from a specific channel, a control section 24 stops reception of other channels and selects the reception of only the specific channel, through which the call signal is received. Then in the case of receiving the call signal from the specific channel, since the reception of the other channels is stopped, the power consumption attended with the reception of the other channels after receiving the call signal is becomes unnecessary, so as to reduce the power consumption of the mobile wireless unit. Also by comparing number of times of the call signal from the specific channel with a reference count stored in a memory 22, reception of other channels may be stopped. |
